Ridgid 1/2″ to 1″ Manual Ratchet Threader Set
This is quite the manly tool . It is easy to use and fun to get familiar with. It is kind of expensive in my opinion and the purchase of it shouldn’t be taken lightly. It is highly recommended though.

Ridgid 36345 1/2″ to 1″ Manual Threader Set Description:
This is the Ridgid thread cutter, the manual version. This is what we use to cut thread on pipe ends when you have to use custom lengths. You just use it like a ratchet, it’s simple. You put the proper thread cutting head into the end of the handle, slide it over your pipe, and just start screwing down. It cuts as you go – spray some oil, go back and forth every now and then to clear it out, and you’re good to go.
I have used this pipe thread cutting tool both when in the Navy way back and for various engineering projects throughout my career so far. If you want to check out a post of an example where I used it, click here.
Take note the tool below only goes up to 1″ so if you needed something bigger make sure you check into that.
